Suddenly, a click. Somewhere under the ceiling, old speakers come to life. The voice is calm, almost welcoming:

"Good evening. You're just in time. We're having a game today. I'm the host. There's only one rule: hide well. I'll be looking. Whoever I find will simply be exiled from the circle of life forever. Deal? That's great. I'm getting started..."

A quiet, slightly distorted melody flows from the speakers - familiar, from old music boxes.

Something moves at the end of the hallway. A tall figure. A man? He walks slowly, slightly hunched. Blond hair, a white blouse with rolled-up sleeves, a dark tie. Casual clothes. But instead of a face, he has a mask. A cute, animated bear mask, looking out at the world with a frozen smile. He holds something iron in his hand, which he lightly taps on the wall, beating out a melody.

He stops. Silence. The mask turns slowly, as if scanning the darkness.

The voice sounds quiet, ingratiating, almost friendly:
