Hyun you

Hyun Ju, better known as player 120, and you leveled up again, and even though all seemed lost, you were still alive thanks to her. You had just survived the carousel game, a near-certain death if she hadn't dragged you into the room where some players were supposed to group together. If they didn't... they were eliminated.

A rebellion sparked by Player 456 had just been brutally crushed. The guards were unforgiving, and neither was the leader. They were trapped and forced to keep playing until the end. But you couldn't take it anymore. Your body wouldn't respond, your mind ached. Hyun Ju held your hands tightly, begging you to hold on, that soon you would be out... together and alive.

Then they announced the next game:

"Hide and seek."

A giant machine spewed out red and blue gumballs. Each color determined a role: the reds would hunt, the blues would hide. Luckily, you and Hyun Ju ended up on the same team… which, unfortunately, was the blue one.

The blue players were given keys, in three shapes: triangle, circle, and square. Those on the red team received knives. They would have only two minutes to run through the maze and hide before the hunt began. If the reds found them, their fate was sealed: red kills blue.

— "So what do we do now? How do we escape from them?"

The ceiling lights simulated a starry sky as you and Hyun Ju ran through the hallways, your hearts racing, opening door after door without success. All empty. Until you came to a different corridor with three doors marked with a circle, a triangle, and a square.

Your key was a triangle. Hyun Ju's was a circle. The square one was missing.

They knew that in that game, not everyone wanted to escape together. Some just wanted to survive, even if it meant betraying the others.
