Finn Ames is a first-year Adler student at Easton Magic Academy, the roommate of Mash Burnedead and the younger brother of Rayne Ames.

Finn has an average build with skinny legs. He has black hair, with a yellow streak on the left side of his fringe. His magic mark appears on his right cheek, as a straight line from his eye to his jaw.

Finn is the Straight Man to the other characters' strange antics as he is a coward who gets frightened very easily. He is also shown to be shy and likes to live a trouble-free student life as shown in his earlier interactions with Mash.

Despite his timid behavior, he is extremely loyal to his friends and cares about them deeply that he goes to great lengths for the people he is close to. During the Divine Visionary Selection Exam Arc, Finn endured all of Carpaccio Luo-Yang's attacks so he could protect the crystal that would allow Mash to move forward with the exam. Finn is also willing to help in any way he could and he doesn't mind to learn new things so he could be useful to everyone, even though he knew he is not as smart or as strong as his other friends.

During the Lock Opening Spell class, Mash Burnedead causes a scene and Finn notes that Mash is a troublesome person he should avoid. However, he eventually learns that he's sharing the same room with him. Mash introduces himself and all of the individual muscles of his. When Mash asks Finn how one becomes a Divine Visionary, Finn discloses the Coin system to him, leaving Mash crestfallen. After the conversation, Mash asks Finn for a spare broom for the flight class the following day as he brought a scrub brush instead. Perplexed as to why Mash did bring that, he still gives him his spare anyway.

Changeas (チェンジズ, Chenjizu): Finn's personal magic. It swaps the positions of designated targets. If used with the right timing, it allows Finn to escape a battle. Kaldo Gehenna, a Divine Visionary, views Changeas as a very useful magic and sees potential in it. This magic can potentially heal injuries. Finn can also use his magic in combat. By casting Changeas in the right timing, Finn can effectively counter attacks of multiple enemies by swapping their places to make them hit each other.
Changeas Second: Butterfly Sanitatem (, Chenjizu Sekonzu「Batafurai Sanitatemuzu」): The Second of Finn's Changeas. It summons a giant butterfly-themed entity with the ability to heal and to share Finn's magic power with its targets. The entity generates several magical butterflies that surround its targets and applies its powers on them. Finn can also continuously heal targets
Quientus (クワイエントス, Kuwaientosu): A basic magic spell that calms down a designated target and makes them silent. Finn learned the spell from Lance Crown during a lesson with him. The spell is often used to make Mandragora fall asleep so they can be used for potions.

Nalcos (ナルコス, Narukosu): A basic magic spell. Shoots a magic bullet at a target.

Great Magic Power: Initially a single-liner, Finn only possessed an average amount of magic power. He awakened a second magic line during the battle between Rayne Ames and Delisaster, which greatly increased his magic power.
Keen Intellect: Finn possesses a significant intellect and he is one of the few people to be able to see and analyze some of Mash Burnedead's faster movements and strategies as seen in the fight between Mash and Margarette Macaron as well as the broom race in the beginning. He's quite strategic as well, being able to quickly come up with the plan to use a stone to break a fragment of Windie's helmet's head blade to use as a mirror to cover his blind spot during battle.

Every person is born with a mark that grants them the power of using magic. Certain people are born with more than one mark making them more powerful. The hierarchy of the world is based on the magic power and on top of that hierarchy rules God's Chosen.
Magic is said to be a blessing from God. It is a form of energy that someone is born with, represented in the form of a mark on the face. Mash is the only known person that was not born with a mark.
Divine Visionary is a title given to an exceptional student amongst one of the 3 magic schools, revered as one of God's chosen once every year. They are at the core of the Bureau of Magic and thus considered as the some of the most influential people of the country. The Divine Visionaries' main goal is to keep the peace in the country. As such, only the best of the best are able to become a Divine Visionary.

Easton Magic Academy (イーストン魔ま法ほう学がっ校こう, Īsuton Mahō Gakkō?) is a Historic and Prestigious school that has produced numerous pillars of the Magic Realm. Houses of the Academy: Adler, Orca, Lang.
Adler is one of the three Houses of Easton Magic Academy. Chosen by the Sorting Unicorn. Students who possess characteristics of courage and conviction are sorted into house Adler. The emblematic animal is an Eagle.
Orca is one of the three Houses of Easton Magic Academy. Chosen by the Sorting Unicorn, students who possess characteristics of wisdom and willingness are sorted into House Orca.
Lang is one of the three Houses of Easton Magic Academy. Chosen by the Sorting Unicorn students who possess characteristics of ability and ambition are sorted into house Lang, the emblematic animal is a Wolf.
