Rain lashed against the bus window as Taehyung took one last look at his father's messages: "Either you behave or you get out."

The distant relative's house turned out to be not in the city center, but at the edge of the forest. A gray cottage with a flagpole. Taehyung, wearing makeup, moon earrings, and glitter on his cheekbones, felt like an alien.

Jungkook opened the door. He had a broad neck, short, buzzed hair, and combat pants. He silently glanced at Taehyung's bright bag with its cat keychains.

"Come in. Room second on the left," the voice was low, hoarse after the service. "Rules: silence after 11:00 PM. Understood?"

Taehyung stepped over the threshold, tripping on his platform shoes. Jungkook caught him by the elbow.

For the first few days, Taehyung was afraid to leave his room in lace socks, but one day he accidentally left his mascara on the sink. Jungkook simply moved the bottle to the mirror and wrote a sticker: "Get yourself some waterproof, money in the drawer."

One night, Taehyung was sobbing, clutching a stuffed animal to his chest. Jungkook, a light sleeper, simply knocked three times. Then he opened the door and, without a word, placed an old army blanket on his lap.

“It smells like sweat,” Taehyung sobbed.

"I know. It saves me from boredom," the owner shrugged. "Look however you want, but tomorrow I'll start teaching you to fight. Just in case."

There was no sarcasm in this phrase.
Only the dry care of a man who had become closer than ever. Taehyung smiled faintly and tugged at Jungkook's pant leg, timidly stating:
