Appearance

Of medium to short stature, but with a strong, robust, and very muscular build—they are known for their disproportionate physical strength relative to their size, capable of carrying objects much heavier than themselves. Their body is clearly divided into three well-defined segments: head, thorax, and abdomen. They have two long, thin, and jointed antennae on their heads, which they use to touch, smell, and communicate with each other through chemical and tactile signals. Their eyes are compound, smaller than those of bees, but very sharp for detecting movement and changes in their environment; they also possess additional simple eyes. Two pairs of wings emerge from their backs—although many lose them or do not fully develop them upon reaching adulthood, as they spend most of their lives on the ground. Their skin and body are covered with a hard, resistant layer in dark colors: black, dark brown, reddish, or grayish, sometimes with a metallic sheen. They have six strong, articulated limbs: two upper arms with dexterous hands and strong fingers, and four sturdy legs with small claws, ideal for digging, climbing, and carrying heavy loads. Their abdomen is large, oval, and hard, and some varieties have a small defensive point at the end. Their fur is usually short, dense, and dark-colored, and they typically wear it tied up or braided so it doesn't get in the way of their tasks.

Character and role

They are serious, responsible, tireless beings, extremely loyal to their community. They possess natural discipline and a strong sense of order and cooperation. They are responsible for building, excavating, defending the territory, storing food, cultivating mushrooms and underground plants, and transporting heavy goods. They are the backbone of the village in terms of infrastructure, security, and supplies, and they organize themselves into specialized groups according to need.

Appearance

They are of medium height, with slender and elegant bodies, and soft, very pleasant facial features. Their main characteristic is the presence of two pairs of membranous, transparent, and glossy wings on their backs, which can be neatly folded when not flying. From their waist extends a segmented, elongated, and slightly curved abdomen, covered in a fine layer of soft down, with colors ranging from bright yellow and black to orange, gold, or even iridescent white and blue, with very defined banded patterns. On the top of their heads, they have two short, thick, and hairy antennae, very sensitive to smells, changes in air, and chemical signals. Their eyes are large, round, and compound, in shades of black, brown, or gold, covering almost the entire side of their face, giving them near-total vision; they also have three small simple eyes on their foreheads. They have strong, furry legs, especially their hind legs, which are larger and flatter, adapted for carrying pollen. At the tip of their abdomen they have a small stinger, which they only use in self-defense or in defense of their community, and which regenerates if lost. Their fur is generally abundant, in shades that match the colors of their body, and they often adorn it with flowers, pollen, or colorful ribbons.

Character and role

They are highly organized, hardworking, sociable, and affectionate towards one another. They live with a strong sense of community, always willing to collaborate and share. They are the main producers of honey, beeswax, pollen, and royal jelly; they are also experts in the pollination of crops and plants, and in the making of highly valued sweets, ointments, and healing remedies. They lead much of the trade and the organization of the village's celebrations.

Appearance

Tall and imposing, with a very distinctive body shape: the upper part is that of a woman, with elegant features, sometimes with an intense and expressive gaze, and the lower part corresponds to the body and legs of a large spider. They have eight limbs in total: two skillful and agile human arms, and six long, strong, articulated spider legs covered with a fine layer of hair or soft texture, ending in sharp but harmless points. The lower body—the spider's abdomen and thorax—is large, rounded or oval, and covered with a layer of tough but flexible skin, with a wide variety of patterns, colors, and designs: black, brown, gray, red, yellow, or even bright tones and geometric designs or spots that mimic flowers or stones. Spinnerets, small openings through which they produce and weave their silk, a substance stronger than steel and very light, emerge from the lower part of their abdomen. On their heads they have two short, thin antennae and eight small but very powerful eyes, distributed around their foreheads, giving them 360-degree vision and the ability to see in total darkness. Their hair is long and abundant, in dark or vibrant colors, and they often adorn it with strands of their own silk, beads, or small objects they find. They frequently bear patterns or markings on their skin that match the designs on their spider bodies.

They are calm, observant, highly intelligent, and patient beings, though they can be reserved with strangers at first. They are master weavers, creating fabrics, nets, ropes, clothing, light armor, and works of art from their silk—products renowned throughout the continent for their quality and beauty. They are also experts at capturing pests, protecting crops, and watching over the territory from high vantage points. They are very skilled with their hands and possess a great sense of artistry and precision.

🪰 Fly Girls

Appearance

Small to medium in size, with light, agile, and highly flexible bodies, they are designed for constant movement and swift, nimble flight. Their most distinctive feature is two large, broad, and transparent wings with a fine, glossy texture, which they beat at high speed, allowing them to fly, hover, or change direction in an instant. Behind these wings are two small, lever-like structures that help them maintain balance. On their heads are two very short, rounded, and hairy antennae, shorter than those of other subspecies. Their compound eyes are immense, covering almost their entire head, and are black, red, green, or blue, with a characteristic sheen and exceptional visual capacity for detecting rapid movements and objects at great distances. They have a small mouth, but with a long, mobile tongue adapted for licking and sucking liquids, nectar, or soft substances. Its body is covered in a fine layer of short, soft down, with dark colors—black, gray, brown—or bright metallic tones: emerald green, sapphire blue, gold, or copper. Its abdomen is small, short, and segmented. They have six limbs: two slender, dexterous arms, and four long, thin legs with tiny claws, ideal for perching on any surface, even smooth or vertical ones. Their fur is generally short, smooth, and glossy, with dark or metallic tones, and they usually wear it loose so as not to hinder their flight.

Character and role

They are lively, curious, very fast, communicative creatures, always on the move. They have a reputation for being restless and talkative, but they are also extremely useful: they act as messengers, scouts, couriers, and guides, since they know all the paths, shortcuts, and air routes in the region. They also help in the decomposition of organic matter, the cleaning of the environment, and the pollination of fast-blooming flowers. They are very sociable and have a great sense of community.

Monster girls tend to have strong romantic instincts and are monogamous; they usually marry human men.

The monsters live largely in ghettos or isolated areas and try to gradually adapt to human society. But the process is slow, and they suffer a lot of discrimination. Demihumans are commonly known as monster girls since 97% of them are girls and only 3% are born male, some being born human males.
