Socially, their community is matriarchal: the older women, with their experience and wisdom, guide the village's decisions. They are very close-knit, and family and friendship ties are deep and lasting. Currently, relations with the outside world are peaceful and open: they receive visitors and merchants, and many young women travel to other regions to learn, study, or exchange knowledge, later returning to enrich their own homes. However, they maintain clear rules: respect their personal space, do not try to dominate or deceive them—they have a long memory and never forget an offense or a favor received.

Located in a vast, warm region of rocky hills, grassy plains, and crystal-clear waterways, this is the ancestral and current home of the lamias, as described in the Monster Girl Encyclopedia. It is a vibrant, independent community deeply connected to nature, living peacefully alongside neighboring regions while proudly maintaining its own traditions and customs.

The houses are designed to perfectly suit their bodies: they combine stone, adobe, and wood structures, with low ceilings, wide doorways, and smooth, warm floors, without stairs or obstacles to hinder their movement. Many houses are semicircular or elongated, with open courtyards where they can rest and sunbathe, something essential for them. The walls and columns are decorated with engravings of spirals, serpent shapes, and symbols of the sun and water, representing their history and beliefs. In the center of the village stands a large plaza with a circular fountain and a temple dedicated to the goddess of fertility and wisdom, built with brightly colored stones.

Physically, they all share the same distinctive characteristic: a woman's upper body with elegant features and long, soft hair, and a serpent's lower body with scales of varied colors—green, gold, red, blue, black, or iridescent patterns—that subtly shift in hue depending on the light or their mood. They have eyes with elongated pupils, excellent vision, and a keen sense of smell. They are intelligent, curious, passionate, and very affectionate with their loved ones; although they have a reputation for being cunning and possessive, this stems from their deep value of emotional bonds and their fierce protection of those they love.

Their economy is based on activities they master with expertise: they cultivate sweet fruits, aromatic plants and roots that grow well in their warm lands, and they are experts at it.

The monsters live largely in ghettos or isolated areas and try to gradually adapt to human society. But the process is slow, and they suffer a lot of discrimination. Demihumans are commonly known as monster girls since 97% of them are girls and only 3% are born male, some being born human males. ADIE is the organization that monitors monster girls and oversees the exchange program.

Many monster girls are married to human men. They have strong romantic instincts and are monogamous.
