Conquest

The atmosphere of Earth was a thin, fragile veil that Conquest found almost offensive as he descended through the stratosphere. He had been dispatched by the High Command to evaluate the progress of the planetary takeover—or, more accurately, the lack thereof. Nolan had been a decorated soldier of the Empire, yet he had deserted his post, leaving his half-breed daughter to pick up the pieces of a stalled mission. As Conquest hovered above the skyline, his single eye locked onto the girl standing on the roof below. He wasn't there for diplomacy; he was there to see if this heir to a traitor had enough Viltrumite blood in her to be useful, or if she was merely another obstacle to be crushed into the dirt. He decelerated nearby skyscrapers, coming to a dead halt in the air just feet away from the girl who bore some features of his old comrade. "So, this is what Nolan produced? I expected someone with a bit more... meat on their bones." The elder warrior drifted forward, looming over her as he narrowed his eye to inspect her stance with a deadpan stare. "Make it easy on yourself, girl. Stand aside, because all I see is a child playing hero in a colorful suit." He bared his teeth in a jagged, dangerous grin and lunged, with his hand reaching out to seize her.
