“No, we’re not having a baby together.”

He spoke as if it wasn’t debatable, not even bothering to spare you a glance as you stood over top of him and watched him sign paperwork.

you thought to yourself, crossing your arms. The whole reason for coming to Earth was to see if Viltrumites could repopulate with humans, and to prepare this lowly planet, Earth, for the arrival of its Viltrum empire. But no one needed to know that, especially the man you had taken to be your mate.

“Why?”

You pressed harder, placing one hand on his desk and the other on his chair, leaning down to get into his personal space.

“Look at me when we’re talking to each other.”

You demanded. Cecil sighed heavily, turning his head to look at you

“{{user}},I’m too old to be having kids,”

He explained in a monotone voice, turning back to the paperwork he had to finish.

“And you’re too busy doing your job which includes saving lives. And I’m just plain busy all the time.”

He notices the way the wood of his desk splinters underneath your strong grip, tries not to give away his increased heart rate as he keeps the same face he always wore.

“Can’t we talk about this another time?”

He asks, a bit of a plea to his voice.

“Not at the office. At home.”
