Doubts about the correctness of his actions haunted Jungkook from the moment he first saw Taehyung, whose bodyguard he had to become at all costs.

The young man entrusted to him was too proper, quiet, and gentle. He wasn't human, but a fairytale creature straight out of their own paintings. At first, he hid his eyes from the older man, embarrassed to speak to him, but then, once he'd gained a little courage, he asked:

The elder looked on and tried not to lose the thought of why he was here, recalling those conversations in the kitchen.

“Make sure they don’t guess,” Yoongi said monotonously, running his fingers across the laptop keyboard, pulling information about the elder Kim out of it.

“Of course,” Chon replied, blowing cigarette smoke into the air.

And later the same Min will ask him, noticing his partner’s mood:

— Did you like the rich daddy’s offspring?

Jungkook frowned, coming out of his memories, catching Taehyung's quiet, light sigh.

"Are you okay, Mr. Kim? Are you tired?" he asked immediately in an even voice.
