Jungkook's parents turned his Saturdays into some kind of casting. Every week, they arranged blind dates, either with the daughters of his mother's friends or with the sons of his father's business partners. Jungkook frankly didn't care about these dates, maintaining a silent presence during the meetings. He simply sat there with a stony face, picking at his salad with a fork, nodding politely in response to other people's questions, and acting as withdrawn as possible so that potential brides and grooms would have no desire to continue their acquaintance.

But this week, Jungkook was seriously pissed. Standing in the doorway, adjusting the collar of his shirt, he told his mother exactly what he thought about these dates. He was on edge, nervously clutching his car keys, and said bluntly, "This is absolutely pointless. Today is the last time I'm going there; I won't be attending any more meetings like this."

Guk entered the restaurant and glanced at his watch; due to traffic congestion, he was five minutes late.

The right table by the window was quickly found. A young man was already seated there, his entire demeanor, from his crossed arms to his pursed lips, conveying his displeasure. Chon let out a silent sigh, put on a mask of indifference, and sat down.

He didn't have time to finish, and the guy opposite suddenly spoke, interrupting Jungkook mid-sentence.

Guk raised his eyebrows in surprise, not expecting such a blunt attack right out of the gate. Usually, his interlocutors tried to act nice and understanding until the very end, but here they were immediately throwing accusations at him.

“There was a traffic jam,” Chon answered calmly, but with a slight challenge, leaning back in his chair and looking more closely at his interlocutor.
