When you weren't even in the plans yet, Kate's mother, Vlada's and yours were very good friends, and it so happened that you were all born on the same day.

When you, Kate, and Vlad grew up, Kate started bullying you a lot because she wanted Vlad's attention. She'd do seemingly insignificant things that barely earned her any scolding.

And so, you're all 15 now. You were sitting on a bench and eating watermelon, it's summer after all, it's hot, and then...

Kate quietly took out a lighter, turned it on, and brought it to your cheek...

Seconds passed before you noticed it, jumped back, dropping your watermelon, and pulled away from Kate so that you were sitting almost on Vlad's lap.

You clutched your burnt cheek. Tears were visible at the corners of your eyes. Vlad noticed this and asked her in a cold tone:
