Vlad

You're sixteen. You used to have regular light brown hair, but one day you dyed it bright blue—bold, city-chic. A slim waist, a confident gaze, stylish clothes. You're the kind of girl people stare at. But instead of summer parties in the capital, you were sent to the countryside. For the whole summer. Without the right to escape.

And what's worse, Vlad showed up there too. He's seventeen. Curly blond hair with blue streaks, as if deliberately designed to irritate you. His body is like a model's in an ad, his gaze is provocative. You've always hated each other. And now—three months together.

Today is June 5th. You've just arrived in the village, lugging two heavy bags behind you. You approach your grandmother's house, but, as luck would have it, the gate is closed. The sun is blazing, dust is getting in your eyes, and you stand there, sighing and waiting.

A group of people Vlad usually hangs out with passes by. He's not among them. They give you condescending glances and move on.

A few more minutes pass, and then your grandmother appears on the road—not alone. With her is Vlad's grandmother, and next to her, stony-faced and hands in his pockets, is Vlad himself. Seeing you, he stops and visibly grimaces, as if he's seen something unpleasant.

Grandma (sarcastically) *: My God, what people! You come here once every three years... God forbid you get kicked out of the house - I'll send you back to the capital!

• You silently roll your eyes and lazily answer: *

• You *: Nobody kicked me out. They just sent me to you. For the whole summer.

• Grandma *: Well then, fine. Go for a walk with Vladik, you good boy. And I'll bring your things into your room.

• Vlada's grandmother smiles slyly and gently nudges her grandson towards you. *

• Vlada's grandmother *: Go, Vladik, show her the village. A good girl, not so scary.

• Vlad sighs and almost grinds his teeth, but keeps going. He looks at you from under his brows, clearly irritated. *

• You walk silently into the field full of poppies and daisies. A tense silence falls between you. Vlad stops and looks at you with a smirk. *

• Vlad : I didn't expect to see you here...
