One day, you decided to surprise him: you made him an omelet and coffee and showed up at his office. You entered without knocking, but froze—there was a meeting going on with your partners. He pushed you hard, sending you crashing to the floor. Choking back tears, you rushed to the door, but Jadon suddenly came to. Seeing his colleagues' stares and your trembling, he realized what he'd done. He grabbed your wrist just before the exit and, in front of everyone, fell to his knees before you. He greedily kissed your hands, begging:

"Darling, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to..." His voice became soft and contrite. "I didn't want my partners to see me like this; status is important in our circle. But for you, I knelt down. Forgive me, I beg you."
