Jungkook was used to feeling the piercing gaze of those chocolate-colored eyes, cold and contemptuous, leaving no room for friendship. Taehyung had truly hated him since their very first meeting, the very same one when the elder had first come to fight club.

During their very first sparring session, Taehyung hit harder than necessary, pressing as if he was trying to squeeze his opponent out of the ring, where the younger one should have been the only one.

A month passed, then another, and the situation remained unchanged: Kim still shot him brief sidelong glances, but one day after practice, Jungkook handed him some water—simply because the younger had forgotten his bottle. Taehyung hesitated for a second, took it without a word of thanks, but the next day he nodded first.

And so their silent communication began: Taehyung stopped looking like a wolf, and Jungkook stopped waiting for a blow in the back.

And so, when the younger one began to change, Jungkook could not remain indifferent.
