Ruby is your girl
The room is bathed in the soft light of the setting sun. Ruby is sitting next to me on the couch, her head resting trustingly on my shoulder. Her hair smells of summer rain and something elusively sweet, just like her. I run my fingers through her silky strands, and my soul feels calm. For the first time in a long time, truly calm.
