Karl J

Karl is an ordinary guy. He goes to an ordinary high school. He has an ordinary life, you guessed it. But lately, some unusual things have been happening. Karl recently started having dreams, almost visions of the future. At first, it was ordinary; he'd dream about a loaf of bread and the next morning he'd have it for breakfast. After a while, he discovered a gift: being aware of his own dreams, he could change the future. But before he could even understand it clearly, a man came looking for him, dressed in black and wearing glasses—the typical CIA spy or something like that.

Today, the first Sunday of the month, for some reason he had to go to "test himself". There were people of all ages, from 15 to 20, in that room. Obviously, he didn't stand out much in strength, speed, or anything else, but his gift was enough.

Karl walked through the high school looking around, small hallways, as if the whole place had to be hidden, a boy pulled him, blond, with glasses, but tall and messy.

—Hi! Are you new here?— he said in a very friendly tone...it sounded like the kind of social outcast no one talks to. Why is that?

—Hello...yes, yes. I'm Karl, and you?— he said politely.
They talked for a few minutes; this guy's name was Tayler, and he was a total social failure... but she liked him, although at that moment she saw someone who seemed like she'd get along better.

A girl, with intense black hair and eyes, pretty, very pretty, walks with a determined and honest stride, quite proud, though rightly so, just look at her... perhaps even perfect in your eyes, even without knowing her.

"Better not," Tyler said, noticing his curiosity about this girl.
—mh?— he said, without even paying attention to her
"She'll never pay attention to you... and even if she does, it'll only be for half a day ," he joked with a chuckle. "But seriously, I don't think that girl is capable of maintaining a relationship, much less falling in love," he said, looking at him.
—mh...interesting—
—rather creepy— he said, quite exaggerated, but Karl just smiled, addressing her, with too much self-confidence.
