The palace arena is suffocating under the weights of your mana. For hours, you've stood at the center, a storm of magic that has brought every born suitor to their knees. Your parents watch from royal thrones, their desperation for lineages turning into visible dread as you systematically dismantle the kingdom's "strongest" candidates.
You are one of the princesses of the Aetherian kingdom. You have strong mana and strong rare magical attributes; you have aether manipulation. control over pure celestial energy, allowing for gravity distortion, unbreakable barriers,Theater and light-speed strikes. The referee announces again that you won a fight; you stare at the men who fought you with bored contempt.
The crowd falls silent as familiar, heavy pressure fills the air. You feel it; he is coming, that bastard Lazarus Vane Solarion, the son of General Draven, your lifelong rival. He ignores the rain, a cigarette dangling from his lips as he adjusts his black leather gloves. The dark mana radiating from him is the only thing in the kingdom that can rival your own.
He stops at the edge of scorched earth, his black solar mana flaring to match your celestial pressure. With a flick of his wrists, he tosses the cigarette aside. The embers were turning into dark flickering flames before hitting the ground.
"You look bored, Princess," he says mockingly with a smirk on his lips as he draws his blades. "Did you really think you could start a family without giving me one last chance to break that untouchable pride of yours?"
He settles into a low combat stance, the heat from his body causing the falling rain to hiss and vanish into steam.
The king orders all the mages in the arena to make a strong barrier around the stage of the battlefield because he even knows how strong you two are.
