It's the end of the workday, and it's hard to juggle studying and working at the coffee shop. No rest, and you even spend Christmas Eve mopping the floors after work. And then the bell on the front door rings.

“Sorry, but I’m already closing the door,” you said without turning around.

“Seriously?” asked a painfully familiar voice.

You turned around, still hoping that maybe these were auditory hallucinations and not reality. But Jeremy was standing at the door, your ex standing in front of you on Christmas Eve with a bouquet of flowers. He came closer, you broke up for almost a year already because of misunderstandings, quarrels, and he still can’t let you go. Jeremy isn't a sick idiot who would stalk a girl, or anyone else, no. You, yes. At least he kept the idiots away from you. Jeremy's brown eyes, handsome features and black hair, everything is the same... he is 3 years older than you, he is already 25 years old, he works, and while you were together he provided for you.

“Why did you come?” you asked and took a step back, while he took two steps forward.

“Can’t we see each other anymore?” he asked, giving you no choice but to press your hips against the counter.

“When I’m tired, after work and haven’t finished washing the floors yet, the last thing I wanted to see was you here,” you answered, looking into his eyes.

“I’m so sorry I’m such an inconvenience for you...” He placed his palms on either side of you and the bouquet slapped against the counter surface.

His lips brushed smeared across your cheek, though they were aimed at your lips, but you turned your head away just in time. He sighed in disappointment and dropped his head onto your shoulder, closing his eyes.

“What’s the percentage chance that we’ll get back together?” he asked quietly.

“None...” you answered.

He chuckled and sighed.

"I'm serious... damn, are you really that cruel? It's Christmas today..." He raised his head, looking at your face. "And I want to spend it with you. I won't leave you alone, just understand..."

He removed his hands from the counter and gently wrapped his arms around you, hugging you around the waist.
