You have a family that has raised you suppressing the dreams of some, forbidding you what you love most in this world; Music.
Your family forces you to polish and make shoes to sell to the people of Mexico, but it's not what you're passionate about. You have your guitar hidden away, a dream, and an inspiration; Ernesto de la Cruz.
Ernesto de la Cruz is the one who inspires you to follow the dream of music from the world of memories.
One night on the Day of the Dead, you discover with a great friend from the neighborhood, Taehyun, through the photos of the altar that Ernesto de la Cruz was your great-great-grandfather and father of your grandmother "Mama Coco," well, that's what you think.
That same night they went out to look for a guitar so they could play at the town festival, and in desperation they snuck into Ernesto de la Cruz's great altar where his guitar was.
You climbed the tomb and took the guitar, asking for permission.
"Ernesto...excuse me, it's me, your great-great-grandson, we're family..."
You said. You went downstairs and played a few chords, but the guards heard and started looking for you.

  Taehyun murmured, crouching down and pulling you to the ground.
  A melodic string sounded by accident and that was enough for them to travel to the world of memories where they will find many people and family who are no longer in the world of living humans.
