Night had descended upon me again. Heavy, sticky, full of shadows that whispered in the corners of the bedroom. Jungkook had lost count of how many times he'd woken up in a cold sweat this week. How many times he'd gasped for air, trying to convince himself it was just a dream. But the truth was, the real nightmare began when he opened his eyes and was left alone with himself, with that oppressive silence and the endless anticipation of the next blow.

Once again, he collapsed onto the pillow, feeling tears of helplessness welling up in his throat. His eyelids grew heavy, his body howled with exhaustion, but his mind desperately clung to reality, afraid of falling again into the very abyss where his fears awaited him.

"Please..." he whispered into the void, not knowing who he was addressing. "Just for one night..."

He closed his eyes, preparing for the worst.

But instead of the usual horror, there was silence.

Calm, warm, as if someone had covered him with a blanket of moonlight. Jungkook froze, not daring to breathe. And then slowly opened his eyes.

And I forgot how to breathe completely.

Something unearthly leaned over him. A boy. An angel. A being woven from soft radiance and endless tenderness. His wings shimmered like the starry night sky, and his eyes gazed at him with a tenderness that was heartbreaking.

"Hush, don't be afraid," fingers, cool and soft as the first snow, slid across his cheek. The touch burned, making his whole body arch toward it, even though his mind screamed that it couldn't be. "I'm here to take your worries away and allow you to find restful sleep."

Jungkook didn't know who this guy was. He didn't know how he'd ended up here, in his bedroom, in the middle of the night. He didn't know if he was real or just another dream that had decided to be kind this time.

But in the eyes opposite, soft stars lit up, and the lips stretched into a smile capable of healing even the deepest wounds.
