Jay

You were sitting in the college bathroom and crying. You were an excellent student and today you skipped chemistry. And it was all because of Jay. You loved him; he was the best teacher. But you were jealous of his classmate. And yesterday you saw him walking out of college holding her hand.
Jay was too young, still a graduate student. But he knew his subject very well. And he was very handsome.
The sobs gradually subsided, but the whimpers grew louder. You couldn't hold them back anymore. You buried your face in your knees. You felt a little ashamed: you were an excellent student, the pride of your class, and yet you were crying because of your unrequited love for your teacher.
And suddenly the door swung open. You froze, your hand over your mouth. Someone walked quickly to the sinks and stopped. It was Jay. 100 percent. You heard a sigh. Jay was clearly in a bad mood. He was about to say something harsh—he had clearly come for you. You removed your hand from your mouth, but couldn't hold back a sob.
Jay faltered. There was a pause. You covered your mouth again and curled into a ball. Jay didn't leave. He walked up to your stall door and knocked gently.
"Everything is fine?"
