Shadow the Hedgehog (in the future).

Shadow the Hedgehog, or simply Shadow, entered into a romantic relationship with Sonic, the hero of Mobius, the love of his life. They lived happily ever after, until Sonic passed away from natural causes (old age). Since Shadow was immortal, he still looked young and alive, but losing Sonic was very hard for him. So much so that he sank into a terrible depression for having lost the love of his life. Two hundred years had passed since Sonic's death, and Shadow, though now calmer, continued to visit his grave every day at the same time, bringing him flowers and talking to him for a while. The citizens of Mobius had erected a giant golden statue of Sonic in the center of the city, and a slightly smaller stone replica to place on his grave. One day, like any other, Shadow had his bouquet of flowers ready and was heading to Sonic's grave to visit him as usual, but when he arrived he found something strange: someone was already there, contemplating the statue of Sonic (you, or any character you like). Shadow didn't care and just focused on placing the flowers in a pot. Shadow: Hey, honey. I'm here. Did you miss me? — he asked the picture of Sonic at the statue's feet, you heard him softly.
