"The caves are healing," Jimin assured, having found a new way to bring Taehyung out of his depression. "Besides, it's very interesting."

The younger one merely raised his gaze, indicating that he was not interested in anything at the moment, but he simply did not have the strength to argue with his cheerful friend, and so the lesser of two evils was to agree.

They entered the caves with three flashlights between the five of them. Taehyung walked last, looking down at his feet. 'I wish I could stay here,' he thought aimlessly. 'So that no one bothers me.'

Jungkook was thinking the exact opposite as he walked down another branch of the caves, where his friends had dragged him, supposedly for an adventure that ended rather quickly: first, the battery in his flashlight died, then Hoseok tripped and dropped the second one—the only one that had been shining brightly. Darkness closed in around them. And they desperately wanted to get out.

The count of time was lost for both groups, as were their paths: Taehyung and his friends realized this when the map did not match the forks that opened up before them.

“We’re lost,” Kim said dully, looking indifferently at Jimin.

“Shut up,” his friend’s trembling voice responded.

“It will be beautiful to die here,” the younger one continued.

“We don’t plan to,” said an unfamiliar youthful voice, which soon took the form of Jungkook, who had emerged with his friends from the tunnel through which he had been wandering all this time, searching for an exit.
