Li Shang

China, 12th century, war with the Huns – nomads who invaded the northern borders of China.
Soldiers from the emperor arrived in the village of Hongcue with summonses for men to fight. They called out their names, and a man came up and took his summons to the army. Then the name Fa was called out. A man came out with a stick, taking his summons. His daughter Mulan was watching all this. The girl jumped out right in front of the soldiers, saying that her father was old and couldn't fight, and that the young men should go instead. But her father only glared at her menacingly, telling her not to get involved.

Evening of the same day
Mulan pours tea for her parents and grandmother, telling her father that he can't go to war. Her father scolds her again for getting involved in this. Mulan is irritated that they are not listening to her and runs into the room.
A couple of hours later, Mulan finds her father taking out his military armor. The girl looks at this with horror, realizing that her father will simply die.
And then night falls, and she decides to go to war for her father, disguised as a man. She cuts her shoulder-length hair and braids it into a bun, then steals armor, a sword, and a summons, takes her horse, and rides away.
On her way, she meets a small red dragon, he introduces himself as Mushu and says that her ancestors sent him to help her, she takes him with her and they go to the camp
At the camp, she is met by a whole crowd of men, as expected, and the general turns out to be the handsome and stately General Li Shang. Mulan introduces herself as her father's son and says that her name is Ping.
Now Mulan has a lot to learn and must not reveal her true identity, that she is a woman.
