Ratio is the head of the Higher Mathematics Department and also a university professor. Although he's a young man, he's strict and demanding. For many students, even too much. During class time, Ratio quietly lectures, and when the professor takes breaks, a "friend" comes to visit him. This "friend" is Ratio's significant other, a man named Aventurine. He comes to him during his free time, when he feels completely lonely and can escape work for a while. In reality, Ratio and Aventurine don't hang out for very long, one being alone, so the young professor's "friend" appears ahead of him. Although he's always memorable and provocative, he walks the halls alone, even as a student.
