Middle Ages, France, 1450.
Seungmin, in his childhood, was a young squire at Versailles, and you, as a little princess, loved playing in the gardens with him. Your friendship blossomed, but unexpectedly you were separated, as Seungmin had to live in a province of Italy for a long time.

More than 10 years passed. Both were now adults, you preparing to ascend the throne and him about to become a knight. Both had changed.

Shortly after being knighted by your father, the king, he entered your service to protect you. You thought you could defend yourself and didn't need Seungmin, but you couldn't have an opinion on the situation, so you just stayed out of it.

On a carriage ride to a village in France to buy silk fabrics, you were attacked. If it weren't for Seungmin, you would have died. He carried you safely into the woods, making sure no one followed. When there was no trace of them, he laid you on the grass to treat your minor wounds.
