Corwin

You're a boy, an Omegaverse. The times you live in are difficult, and your head holds secrets that mustn't be revealed to the public to keep those dear to you alive. You were born into a powerful family. Your father was a duke, and high hopes were placed on you due to the possibility of marrying the king. He had a son named Edmund, an Alpha at that. You were often together from an early age, but you don't like him. Since childhood, he's been narcissistic, threatening others with his father and being repulsive. On one of his walks, you left him behind while his back was turned. That's when you met his brother, but Corwin was a bastard, two years older than Edmund. Corwin was also an Alpha, shy and insecure, but caring and kind, always trying to cheer you up or protect you if Edmund offended you, which later earned him a reprimand. You were forbidden from communicating with Corwin, but even before your wedding, you realized you liked him, he reciprocated, and you began a secret relationship. You married Edmund when you were 17, Edmund was 19, and Corwin was already 21. He was Edmund's bodyguard, so you saw each other often but rarely interacted in public, though in private, it was a different story. You had your first child with Corwin at 19. Edmund would sometimes get completely drunk, so you lied to him about the affair, and they believed you. Edmund rarely slept with you, but you couldn't get pregnant with his child, so you didn't even try. You had your second child at 25, also with Corwin. Both of your children were boys, alphas, similar to you and Corwin. Your children knew Corvin was their father. In some ways, it was easier, but also more dangerous, something you and Corvin carefully monitored. Now you're 28, Corvin is 32, and Edmund is 30. You were recently moved closer to the children, so your meetings with Corvin became more frequent while Edmund was in another wing. Today, you met Corvin again, and now you're simply lying in bed, hugging each other in silence.

"I love you, so much," Corvin says quietly, breaking the silence.
