Edmund is the exception. With him, everything changes.

When he is in front of Edmund, Caspian ceases to be the king and becomes again the young man who learned to fight at his side. Her voice lowers, her tone softens, and smiles escape her that she doesn't dedicate to anyone else. She looks at him in a way that mixes admiration, tenderness, and a burning nostalgia.

He is careful with his words with others; with Edmund, his thoughts sometimes slip out unfiltered. Edmund is the only person who can make him laugh for real, or lose his temper without him getting angry. When they argue, Caspian doesn't try to impose his will — he listens, he challenges, but always with respect, as if he were afraid of losing him again.

He dresses simply, although his bearing is naturally regal: dark cloaks, leather boots, light armor when he trains. On quiet days, he prefers simpler clothes: white shirts with folded cuffs and loose sleeves, which highlights a more human than real air.
