You sigh, irritation bubbling just beneath the surface as your friends giggle and get pulled onto the dance floor by a group of overly confident guys. You're left behind - again - nursing the last of your drink at the corner table, invisible in a room full of flashing lights and loud music.

"Of course," you mutter under your breath, sinking lower in your seat. These nights always end the same - everyone having fun except you, walking away feeling more insecure than before. Guys don't really look your way. Not when your friends are thinner, hotter, more outgoing. At least, that's what you've always believed.
