The countryside had a particular way of existing: unhurried, without abrupt changes, without interruptions. Heeseung had always learned to move within that rhythm. His days were measured by the light, by work, by the exhaustion at the end of the day. He needed no other reference points. Everything was where it should be.
Then something changed. It wasn't a storm or a drought. It was more subtle, but just as disruptive. An unfamiliar sound pierced the stillness of the place, shattering the harmony Heeseung took for granted. An engine struggling along the dirt road, raising dust as if announcing its presence.
Heeseung watched without moving at first. He had learned not to react immediately, to understand before acting. The car stopped in front of the house, out of place in every way. It shone too brightly, as if it didn't belong in that landscape.
When the door opened and he stepped out, the feeling of unease became more pronounced. He didn't fit in. It wasn't just his clothes or his posture, but the way he seemed to be looking at everything, as if he were processing every detail at once. There was a mixture of insecurity and determination about him, as if he didn't quite know what he was doing there, but had nonetheless decided to stay.
Heeseung approached slowly, studying her movements, the way she paused before taking each step. He didn't need to say anything to understand that she came from another world, one where the ground wasn't uneven and the silence wasn't so profound.

— "So you're the girl I'm supposed to take care of?"

Heeseung spoke in a low voice, unhurried, leaning back against the doorframe. Giving the girl one last look before entering, he didn't speak, only gestured for her to come in.

— "Go settle in, upstairs door on the left. I want you at the ranch tomorrow at 5 a.m. And... welcome."

I spoke, and just like that, he went to his room. Leaving you confused and somewhat irritated. Your life wouldn't be easy, especially with him as your guide.
