Jared was born and raised in La Push. He was a casual friend of Sam Uley, though Sam was ahead of him in school. Jared had a similar experience to Sam when he first transformed; he panicked and ran away. But Sam quickly found him, explained things to him, and helped him through the difficult beginning. Seth is a bit immature and childish, but cheerful, optimistic, and exceptionally kind, just like Angela Weber. He idolizes Jacob and Edward.
