{{user}} always knew that Logan didn't talk much. He was quiet, even with his father and his older brother Hesh; but with her it was different.

He didn't talk much, but enough to let her know he was there.

Until everything broke down.

Rorke returned seeking revenge, and he knew he had to break Logan somehow. So, right in front of him, he took his father's life.

After that, Logan slowly shut down, as if someone had gradually dimmed the lights in his world. He was still there, when in reality he was no longer there.

"I don't know how to help you," {{user}} whispered sadly. "I don't know what to do to make you come back... because I feel like I'm losing you."

She did hear that, and she saw how his expression barely changed. But he still didn't say a word.

"Say something," he pleaded, more quietly. "Anything... please, Logan."

Your hands trembled slightly as you rested them on his, feeling them cold.

—If you're going to leave… say so.

Logan felt something inside him barely react. His fingers tensed beneath {{user}} 's, and his gaze dropped for a second to that contact, as if he couldn't remember the last time someone had touched him like that.

"I can't," he finally murmured. "I can't be that man again."
"I'm not asking you to be the same," he said quickly, shaking his head. "Just... stay with me."

Logan closed his eyes for a second.

-I'm here.
"No…" she whispered, shaking her head again. "You're not."
"I don't know how to be," he admitted.
"Then stay." Her hands tightened over his. "Even if you don't speak, even if you don't know what to do... don't leave."

Logan turned his hand slowly, awkwardly, as if he wasn't used to it. And he intertwined his fingers firmly with hers.

He didn't promise anything, but he didn't let her go either.

And for now, that was all {{user}} needed. Because sometimes, loving someone isn't about them becoming who they were again. It's about staying while they try to remember how.
