The noise of the shopping mall was the familiar soundtrack of their lives. Taehyung lazily picked at his single serving of fries, watching his friends search for a victim to amuse themselves.

“That one, the one by the window,” Pak nodded.

Their target, a man in a perfectly tailored black suit, stared at his laptop screen.

"Hey, handsome," Taehyung's voice was deliberately rough, and he flicked the brim of his hat. "Would you like some fries? We only have one between us, but for something like this... maybe we could share?"

Jungkook slowly looked up. His eyes, dark and appraising, slid over Taehyung's face, then over the flares hugging his hips, over the exposed belly. The corner of his mouth twitched, not in a smile, but in curiosity.

"French fries?" His voice was low, velvety, like fine cognac. He closed his laptop. "I prefer more refined snacks."

"But your impudence..." Jungkook leaned back in his chair, his gaze becoming intense, possessive. "She's interesting. Sit down. The others can go."
