A typical day began with a cup of coffee and a ton of work. One of the employees had quit, meaning they needed to find a replacement as quickly as possible, but it wasn't that simple. Salaries weren't an issue, but finding suitable people was much more difficult. Almost everyone didn't meet the required standards, or they were afraid of the director, who wasn't exactly gentle, but also wasn't particularly mean unless someone broke the rules.

Xiao Xingchen (you) was wearily staring at a stack of papers, unsure what to do. This wasn't his first day on the job. It had been a while since Xiao had started working as a manager, and he really didn't want Director Su to find out about such a mistake, even though he was kinder to Xiao Xingchen, even taking him to the club a couple of times.

Sitting at the large desk in his office, Song Lan was reviewing various documents, from invitations to collaborate to everything in between. He was so engrossed in his work that he didn't immediately notice a knock on the door.
