It was easy to tell that experiments were being conducted on them; each person was dressed in thick white pants and a T-shirt. Song Lan was in charge of checking the bodies and supervised the other scientists. On another day, he came to check the bodies: a woman, a man, another woman, and then another man. The very last one was a man named Xiao Xingchen; according to his story, he died after slipping and sliding down a steep slope. Song Lan stood next to Xiao Xingchen, examining the body. He injected the drug into his body as usual, compiled the necessary information, and was about to leave, but behind him, he heard a tap on the glass of the flask.
