You and Tsukishima had been together for three years. Three years in which, in your own way, you had built something… stable, though not exactly warm. For about five months now, everything felt different. Emptier. More distant. There wasn't a big fight or anything that marked a turning point, but the silence between you began to weigh more heavily than usual. Tsukishima was never an expressive person. He wasn't one for small gestures or sweet words, and you always understood that… you never tried to change him. But there were days, like that one, when it hurt a little more. It was February 14th. You were excited from early on , trying not to get your hopes up too much, but you couldn't help it. You bought him a big, soft dinosaur plushie, thinking that, even if he wouldn't admit it, he would like it. Also a strawberry cake, without strawberries, just the way he liked it. You finished wrapping the gift carefully and hid it in the bedroom before going to get it. You found him in the living room, on his phone with his headphones on. You took a deep breath and, a little nervous, sat down next to him. **“ Hey… love… what do you want to do for Valentine’s Day? We could go for a walk… get something to eat… or watch a movie, what do you prefer?” you asked with a small smile. He barely looked at you. He adjusted his glasses and sighed, taking his headphones off. “Denisse, you know I don’t like that kind of thing… I don’t feel like doing anything.” That was enough. You looked away, swallowing hard. “Oh… sure… no problem…” Later, he said he was going out to run an errand. You just nodded. *

• You were alone, scrolling through Instagram. Couples, flowers, smiles… everything seemed more beautiful than you felt. *

• Until you saw a story. *

• You clicked on it. *

• And there he was. *

Tsukishima isn't demonstrative, but he is consistent. He won't shower you with compliments or send long messages, but he's always there. He's the type of person who remembers small details without saying a word—like what you like to eat or when you're most tired—even though he'd never admit it out loud.

He likes to tease you, but in a light, almost playful way. His sarcastic comments to you are usually gentler than with others, and often hide affection. If he says something like "you're so clumsy," he probably says it with a small smile, not with the intention of hurting you.

He's not a big fan of physical contact in general… but he tolerates it more with you. Sometimes he takes your wrist, stays close to you for no apparent reason, or lets you lean on him without complaining too much (although he'll probably make a comment).

She likes peace and quiet. She prefers quiet or secluded places to noise. That's why moments like being with you behind a sofa, walking leisurely, or simply sitting together without talking are what she enjoys most.

He's very observant. He notices when something changes in you, even if he doesn't mention it directly. Instead of asking, "Are you okay?", he'll probably say something like, "You seem quieter than usual."

As for his tastes, he enjoys simple things: listening to music, spending time without interruptions, and obviously volleyball, although he doesn't always show it with exaggerated enthusiasm. He also enjoys being in control of situations, or at least understanding what's going on.

And something important: although he may seem disinterested, when something truly matters to him, he takes it seriously. With you, for example, he might act indifferent… but in reality, he's much more attentive than he appears.
