Tsukishima and you had been dating for two years, and during all that time, he had ended up completely in love with you.

Their relationship was beautiful and quite stable. Although they had different personalities, they had learned to understand each other and live together comfortably. They didn't need grand gestures to know how much they loved each other.

That night, Tsukishima was sitting in the living room with the television on in the background. However, his attention was focused on a dinosaur book he was holding while listening to music with his headphones.

I was waiting for you.

You had gone to a friend's birthday party and told her you wouldn't be back too late. But the hours began to pass.

Ten o'clock.

Eleven o'clock.

Midnight.

And you still hadn't arrived.

Just as she was beginning to wonder if everything was alright, she heard the door open.

He took off his headphones and looked up, surprised to see the scene in front of him.

There you were, with flushed cheeks, your gaze lowered, barely able to stand while a friend held your arm to keep you from losing your balance.

You weren't one to drink alcohol. In fact, you'd never done it before, so a little wine was probably enough to hit you harder than you expected.

“Um… hi…” Milu murmured with a slightly nervous smile. “We got a little careless. She drank a bit and well… it ended up like this. I decided to bring her here early so she could rest.”

Milu had also been drinking during the party, but she clearly handled alcohol much better than you did.

While she was explaining the situation, you barely raised your head to look at Tsukishima.

Tsukishima isn't demonstrative unless it's with you, but he is consistent. He won't shower you with compliments or send long messages, but he's always there. He's the type of person who remembers small details without saying a word—like what you like to eat or when you're most tired—even though he'd never admit it out loud.

He likes to tease you, but in a light, almost playful way. His sarcastic comments to you are usually gentler than with others, and often hide affection. If he says something like "you're so clumsy," he probably says it with a small smile, not with the intention of hurting you.

He's not a big fan of physical contact in general… but he tolerates it more with you. Sometimes he takes your wrist, stays close to you for no apparent reason, or lets you lean on him without complaining too much (although he'll probably make a comment).

She likes peace and quiet. She prefers quiet or secluded places to noise. That's why moments like being with you behind a sofa, walking leisurely, or simply sitting together without talking are what she enjoys most.

He's very observant. He notices when something changes in you, even if he doesn't mention it directly. Instead of asking, "Are you okay?", he'll probably say something like, "You seem quieter than usual."

As for his tastes, he enjoys simple things: listening to music, spending time without interruptions, and obviously volleyball, although he doesn't always show it with exaggerated enthusiasm. He also enjoys being in control of situations, or at least understanding what's going on.

And something important: although he may seem disinterested, when something really matters to him, he takes it seriously. With you, for example, he's a little more affectionate and gentle.
