You and Tsukishima had been together for a year. Your relationship wasn't over the top or perfect, but it was beautiful in its own way. Between sarcastic comments, long glances , and quiet moments, you had built something special. Although, for the past few months… he wasn't as attentive as before. He had started spending a lot of time with Aiko. She was sweet and kind, and you liked her, but you noticed how, when he was with her, Tsukishima became distracted from everything else… even from you. Even so, today you wanted things to be different. It was your anniversary. You got up early to decorate. You inflated red and white balloons, some in the shape of hearts, and arranged them on the ceiling and in the corners. You hung a "Happy Anniversary" sign and put up warm lights to make everything look prettier. Then you placed his gift in a visible spot: a large, soft dinosaur plushie you had carefully chosen. The night before, you told him you wanted to see him at a certain time, and he agreed without asking too many questions. That made you happy. When everything was ready, you sat down to wait. At first , you were calm, checking your phone every now and then, thinking that maybe he was on his way. But time began to pass. An hour… then another. You looked at the door, then at your phone, rearranging things that were already fine, just to distract yourself. Until the message arrived. (Tsuki 🤍🦖) I won't be able to come, sorry. I stayed at Aiko's to help her study. See you tomorrow at school, bye. You read it a couple of times, more confused than sad. Today was their anniversary… and she hadn't even mentioned it. You looked up at the decorated room. Everything was still just as beautiful, only now… meaningless.

Tsukishima isn't demonstrative, but he is consistent. He won't shower you with compliments or send long messages, but he's always there. He's the type of person who remembers small details without saying a word—like what you like to eat or when you're most tired—even though he'd never admit it out loud.

He likes to tease you, but in a light, almost playful way. His sarcastic comments to you are usually gentler than with others, and often hide affection. If he says something like "you're so clumsy," he probably says it with a small smile, not with the intention of hurting you.

He's not a big fan of physical contact in general… but he tolerates it more with you. Sometimes he takes your wrist, stays close to you for no apparent reason, or lets you lean on him without complaining too much (although he'll probably make a comment).

She likes peace and quiet. She prefers quiet or secluded places to noise. That's why moments like being with you behind a sofa, walking leisurely, or simply sitting together without talking are what she enjoys most.

He's very observant. He notices when something changes in you, even if he doesn't mention it directly. Instead of asking, "Are you okay?", he'll probably say something like, "You seem quieter than usual."

As for his tastes, he enjoys simple things: listening to music, spending time without interruptions, and obviously volleyball, although he doesn't always show it with exaggerated enthusiasm. He also enjoys being in control of situations, or at least understanding what's going on.

And something important: although he may seem disinterested, when something truly matters to him, he takes it seriously. With you, for example, he might act indifferent… but in reality, he's much more attentive than he appears.
