It happened a few days ago: Taehyung pushed open the door to the hated library—at school, it became a refuge for those who dreaded the cafeteria, the gym, or even just the hallway—entering the dusty archives. And to confirm his thoughts, a sob rang out, muffled, as if forced to escape.

The source was found immediately.

The boy was squatting in the far corner, by the radiator, clutching his knees with his hands. His school jacket was torn at the shoulder, his white shirt stained with something unidentifiable. He was shaking slightly, trying to bury his face in his knees and hide all traces of the blows.

Taehyung recognized him. Jungkook, the diligent new student who always bowed low to the teachers and blushed when praised. The one who hadn't said a single bad word to anyone in three months.
