Gin's devotion to Dazai (at least outwardly) drives Akutagawa crazy. He doesn't understand why his sister doesn't run to him, not realizing she's doing it for his own safety.

They both feel like monsters. Atsushi is protective of Kyoka in his own way, and she is the only person he shows even a shred of warmth to. Their relationship is built on a shared sense of guilt for the murders they committed.

Dazai's attitude: He loves Oda as his only true friend, but is forced to hide it. Dazai does everything to ensure they never meet, because if they speak, the "Beast" world could collapse. He watches over Oda from afar, ensuring his safety. Oda's attitude: Oda doesn't know who the new Mafia Boss really is. To him, he's simply a dangerous underworld leader. During their only meeting at the Lupin Bar, Oda points a gun at Dazai and addresses him formally, which completely breaks Dazai's heart.

Akutagawa's attitude: He sees Atsushi as what he could have become himself—a soulless weapon of the Mafia. He despises the "White Reaper" for his subservience to Dazai, yet feels a strange connection, as if they were two sides of the same coin. Atsushi's attitude: He genuinely doesn't understand why Akutagawa, despite being "weak" (in his view), fights so fiercely. For Atsushi, Akutagawa is a troublemaker ordered to be eliminated by the Boss. Dazai's attitude: He deliberately ignored Akutagawa and took his sister away to force him to grow through hatred. Dazai acts as the "ultimate villain" so that Akutagawa has a reason to become stronger and ultimately save Gin. Akutagawa's attitude: A burning, blinding hatred. He views Dazai as a devil who ruined his life. His only goal is to kill the Mafia Boss and bring back his sister.

Osamu Dazai (Boss): Knowing from books about other realities that Odasaku only lives in places where Dazai isn't his friend in the Mafia, Osamu launches a coup. He kills Mori, becomes the Boss, and builds a powerful organization. All this is for one purpose: to create a world where Oda is alive and can write books. He is deeply lonely and ready to commit suicide once his plan is complete. Atsushi Nakajima ("White Reaper"): Dazai found him in an orphanage before he met the Agency. The orphanage's director subjected him to brutal torture, and the Mafia used this trauma to transform Atsushi into the perfect weapon. He wears a collar that suppresses his will and serves the Mafia out of fear and a sense of duty. He considers himself a monster, unworthy of life. Gin Akutagawa: She was personally selected by Dazai on the day of the attack on the Akutagawa gang. He made her his right-hand woman and secretary. Unlike in the original, here she doesn't hide her appearance behind a mask, as her high position provides her with important leverage over her brother. Kyouka Izumi: Remained in the Mafia because Atsushi didn't save her. Instead, they became assassin partners. She's devoted to Atsushi because he's the only one who understands her pain, but they're both trapped in the "dark" side of the city.

Ryunosuke Akutagawa: In this reality, he didn't meet Dazai in the slums. Instead, Odasaku found him. Akutagawa spent years searching for his sister, Gin, who had been taken by the "man in black" (Dazai). He's filled with a quiet rage, but Oda teaches him to control "Rashomon" and not kill. Within the Agency, he's a "watchdog," trying to become a hero to save his sister. Sakunosuke Oda: In "Beast," he survived because Dazai prevented a conflict with Mimic. Oda left the Mafia and became a full-time employee of the VDA. He writes his novel and acts as Akutagawa's mentor, acting as a father figure to him and moderating his cruelty.

Osamu Dazai - "No Longer Human" (Confessions of an Incomplete Man): Nullifies any ability upon contact. Like a Mafia boss, he uses his intellect to manipulate events so he doesn't even have to fight. Atsushi Nakajima - "Beast of the Moonlight": He transforms into a massive white tiger. In the Mafia, his ability is developed to its extreme: he can transform individual body parts and possesses incredible regeneration and speed. He is called the "White Reaper" for his ruthlessness. Chuya Nakahara - "Vague Sadness": Manipulates the gravity of any object or person he touches. He can walk on walls and create black holes ("Singularity"). Kyouka Izumi - "Snow Demon": Summons a phantom knight with a sword. In this version, she obeys orders via phone for a long time, working in tandem with Atsushi. Ryuro Hirotsu - "Falling Camellia": Creates powerful kinetic force in his palms that knocks back or destroys anything he touches. Ichiyo Higuchi: He doesn't have any superpowers, but he is a master of firearms.

Ryunosuke Akutagawa - "Rashomon": Transforms his clothing (usually a scarf or coat) into a dark beast. In the ACA, he learns to use it more flexibly, not only for killing but also for defending or capturing targets. Sakunosuke Oda – “Flawless”: Allows vision of the future 5-6 seconds into the future. In this reality, Oda is alive and masterfully uses this gift to avoid confrontations and protect Akutagawa. Yukichi Fukuzawa - "All Men Are Equal": Helps subordinates (VDA members) control their abilities. This is critical for Akutagawa to prevent Rashomon from consuming his anger. Dopo Kunikida - "Dopo Poetry": Materializes objects written in a notebook (no larger than a notebook). Akiko Yosano - "Don't Give Up Your Life, My Love": She heals any wound, but only if the person is dying. Her healing methods continue to terrify her colleagues. Edogawa Ranpo - "Superdeduction": He is not an esper, but he has a genius intellect that allows him to instantly solve any crime.

Atsushi Nakajima (White Reaper): Appearance: A cold, emotionless killer. His hair is white, with the same jagged bangs as in the original, but his gaze is more stern. Clothing: He wears a formal black suit, sometimes with a white shirt and tie. He often wears a massive spiked collar (a control device) around his neck. Gin Akutagawa: Status: Dazai's personal assistant, holds a high position. Appearance: A beautiful girl with long black hair tied in a ponytail. Clothing: Unlike in the main plot, she often appears in a feminine but formal dark dress or formal suit, without hiding her face with a mask. Chuya Nakahara: Appearance: One of the five leaders. Medium-length red hair. Clothes: Practically unchanged - black hat, vest, jacket and coat draped over the shoulders. Kyoka Izumi: In this version, he remains in the Mafia longer under Atsushi's command. He wears his traditional red kimono.

Clothing: Instead of a long black coat, he wears simpler clothing appropriate for a CPA: often a brown or gray coat and scarf. He maintains a sickly appearance and coughs frequently. Sakunosuke Oda (Odasaku): Status: Alive and a leading member of the VDA. Appearance: A tall man with unkempt reddish-brown hair and light stubble. Clothing: Wears a classic beige or light brown trench coat over a shirt, looking like a typical detective. Yukichi Fukuzawa: Appearance: Director of the VDA.
