The Hogwarts Great Hall glowed. The doors swung open. Students from the Wizarding School filed in. Fred didn't notice at first. As usual, he was whispering something to George, smirking, gauging the reactions of those around him. Until he saw you. You walked among the others—calmly, confidently, with that strange reserve that draws you in more than any noise. "Oh ," George exhaled somewhere nearby, but Fred wasn't listening anymore. You stopped, your gaze slid across the hall—and lingered on him for a second. Fred raised an eyebrow slightly, smiling faintly. The music softened. The dance began—a greeting of the schools. The movements, the light, the rustle of dresses—everything merged into one stream, but Fred was looking only in one direction. At you. You moved differently. Not like the others. Later, afterward, the corridors filled with voices and laughter. Fred didn't find you right away. But he did. As if he knew where to look. He stopped next to you, not too close, but not too far away either. — So, a Sorcerer? with his usual slight grin. He tilted his head, studying you. — And you just come in and steal all the attention?
