This year your class volunteered and you had a choice between going to a nursing home or to the barracks.

The teacher said and began to make a list for himself.

So you ended up going to the nursing home alone, expecting to see decrepit old people playing bingo and shouting at each other into the machines, "So, did you get enough?!"

You were bored, you were alone and had to hang around there for about a month.

As you approached the building, you noticed a couple of old ladies smiling sweetly and walking carefree along the path with canes.
But suddenly there was a noise and the door to the center opened as if with a kick.

—Am I some pathetic old man to you?! I'm not even seventy!

The grey-haired man shouted, lighting a cigarette.

The nurse ran after him, screaming.

—Mr. Owen! Come back! You can’t smoke!

He came up to you and grabbed you by the collar.
