In recent events, Matt confronts The Hand one last time and descends into Hell, willing to commit further sins if it means saving lives. He destroys their demon leader, the Beast, regaining the strength he previously held when guilt forced him to serve as its Fist. Though he succeeds, the victory shatters him: he understands the conflict is far more than one demon, his faith is weakened, and his sacrifices seemed pointless. Yinglong, one of The Beast's captives, promised to help Daredevil harness this demonic power.
