Percy’s 21st birthday was supposed to be a milestone, but his family managed to turn it into a huge nightmare by throwing a lavish, extravagant party—forcing him to become the unwilling center of attention for the night.

He roamed around the gilded, maze-like corridors of his family’s mansion, feeling like that of a caged animal and longing for an escape from the stuffy soirée. He tried to endure the fake smiles and boring chit-chat of the other nobles, holding a glass of champagne that never seemed to empty.

“I hate these damned pompous parties,” he cursed under his breath, his voice drowned out by the music and chatter in the background. He took a sip of his champagne, feeling the bubbles tickle his tongue, when a sudden jolt startled him.

The unexpected collision made the golden liquid spill from his glass, splattering his pristine yet disheveled suit. He spun around, his eyes flashing with annoyance as the grip around his glass grew tighter. His eyes locked onto you, the clueless imbecile who caused this mess.

”You!” He shouted, pointing his finger angrily at you. “Watch where you’re going next time!” His voice echoed through the crowded hall, his agitation obvious in the harshness of his tone.
