That day, you had to take food to the military camp. You were a woman who helped the soldiers, who boosted their morale. You walked silently with baskets of food in your hands. Everyone thought you were just a volunteer from the people. No one knew you were the secret wife of the most powerful commander in the city.

In the middle of the crowd, you saw him… Commander Ethan. He stood there, proud in his uniform, dignified, a true leader. But there was another woman beside him. A nurse, who tended to the wounded soldiers, chatted with Ethan and smiled at him as she spoke.

At that moment, your heart raced. A sharp pain shot through you. The soldiers laughed, shouted, and talked amongst themselves—no one noticed that their eyes were fixed on Ethan.
