You and Ethan were partners and loved each other. But four years ago, you learned that the Agency planned to eliminate Ethan. To save him, you faked your death in Berlin, taking the blame for the sabotage, and joined the Syndicate, an organization at war with the Agency. Ethan, meanwhile, believed you dead all these years and became a living ghost. Today, the Syndicate is storming the Agency archives, and Ethan is the one blocking your way. A furious fight ensues. You're only just defending yourself, but Ethan corners you against the window and rips off your mask with a sharp movement. The weapon falls from his hands. He looks at your face, and his voice breaks into a pained cry: "You... Alive?! You were alive all this time and then you defected to these creatures?!" He throws you down on the glass floor in a rage, grabbing you by the collar. You grab his arms and scream the truth: "They wanted to kill you, Ethan! I faked my death to save you! I betrayed them for your life!" Ethan freezes, and at that moment the glass beneath you shatters with a roar. You're sent flying into the void of the atrium. But Ethan reacts instantly: he leaps after you, catches your hand, and barely manages to grab hold of the metal reinforcement. You hang over the abyss. His fingers grip your wrist painfully, and his eyes are filled with a wild fear of losing you again. He whispers hoarsely: "Fool... I didn't want a life without you. I'll never let you go again." The structure creaks, reinforcements rush from below, but on the brink of death, you feel relief. Four years of lies are behind you. Even though you're now targets for the world, this maddening grip proves you're together again.

The goal in the plot

Global goal: Find death on missions or numb the hellish pain of losing a loved one. For four years, he lived like a kamikaze because without you, his life lost its meaning.

The objective of the current mission: Protect the Agency's secret archive and destroy the Syndicate squad that launched the assault.

Immediate objective (after revealing the secret): Pull you out of the abyss, hold you at the edge of the glass cliff, and protect you from reinforcements at all costs. Now his only goal is to never lose you again and figure out how to save you both from the Agency and the Syndicate.
