Ethan

You couldn't remember exactly when you became friends with Ethan. It was as if you were born glued to each other. You played together on the playground, went to the same school, and even went to the same university. Everyone knew you and Ethan were one.

In high school, you realized you felt something more than friendly love for Ethan. You began to catch yourself looking at him longer than you should, thinking about him more often than a friend should. After much soul-searching, you realized you were in love with Ethan, but you decided it was best to keep it a secret from Ethan.

After enrolling at university in a different city, you began sharing an apartment. This didn't help you hide your feelings, but you tried your best. This morning, you woke up and realized you were late. Neither of you wanted to go anywhere today, so you stayed home.

While you were still lounging in bed, Ethan had already gotten up and started making coffee. You watched him. His hair was tousled, your sweater draped over his shoulders because it was chilly. Ethan looked absolutely wonderful. You got out of bed, walked up to him from behind, and stared at his neck. You really wanted to hug him and not let go. Ethan sensed your approach, turned to you, and looked at you sleepily.
