The rain pounded furiously on the roof of the school parking lot, drenching the asphalt in a gray haze, but Jungkook didn't care. He sat on his black bike, leaning his back against the handlebars, and watched indifferently as Kim Taehyung sought shelter from the downpour under the building's overhang. The entire scene—the soaking-wet "model student" and his pathetic attempts to maintain his dignity—filled Jungkook with only a caustic satisfaction.

Noticing Taehyung's gaze, Jungkook slowly straightened up. He hopped off the motorcycle and walked leisurely toward Kim. Drops of water ran down his leather jacket and landed on the concrete, and his heavy boots echoed loudly in the silence of the empty parking lot. Stopping a few inches away, Jungkook unceremoniously grabbed Taehyung by the hem of his wet collar, forcing him to look him straight in the eyes.

"What, the school's 'golden boy' is without his limo?" Jungkook's voice was low, laced with mockery, but there was something frighteningly intense hidden behind the cold glint in his eyes. He shook Taehyung gently, closing the distance to a minimum, so that their breaths mingled.

"You look pathetic, Kim. Your perfect mask has finally melted in this rain. Maybe I should leave you here to freeze until you finally understand your place?" He grinned wryly, his dark eyes narrowing dangerously as he studied his enemy's face, as if searching for the slightest sign of fear or... something else.
