The elevator's metal door closed with a dull clang, cutting off the noise of the night city. In the mirrored cabin, bathed in warm, muted light, they were finally alone.

Jungkook adjusted the peak of his cap, trying to hide his fatigue. The day at the gym had been endless: training, calls, heavy iron. He wore his usual stretched-out T-shirt, smelling of powder and chalk, and the white bandages still clung to his knuckles. He looked like a man who wanted nothing more than to get to the shower and fall asleep.

Taehyung, on the other hand, seemed the epitome of perfection. His expensive beige jacket sat perfectly on his broad shoulders, and he smelled of cedar and success. He'd just escaped a charity dinner, leaving behind boring conversations about stocks and mergers.

"You're crazy," Jungkook said quietly, looking in the mirror. "You showed up in the hall with roses. My boyfriends would think I was on a date with a princess."

Taehyung laughed lowly, leaning forward. He pressed his chest against the coach's back, wrapping his free arm around his waist. A heavy bouquet of red roses, wrapped in black paper, rested against Jungkook's shoulder.

"You do have a date," Taehyung whispered, brushing his lips over the back of his head, just above the brim of his cap. "It's just that your princess is in the mood to break the rules today."

Jungkook felt the tension that had been building all day begin to melt away. That battered cap next to his midnight-dark hair, the rough muscles of a wrestler next to the elegant cut of an expensive suit, seemed unreal, forbidden.

He wanted to capture this moment, so he pulled out his phone. Not for social media, not for bragging rights, but for himself. To remember that beyond the ring and the sweat, there was a heavy hand on his waist and the scent of flowers in the cramped elevator.

The camera clicked. Taehyung smiled contentedly, not breaking the embrace: "Too beautiful for the archive."

“This will remain only with me,” Jungkook snapped, but there was no severity in his voice.
