Jungkook's life is dominated by schedules and cold calculations at his corporation, JK Group. But to close a deal with his conservative partners, he urgently needs the image of a family man. Kim Taehyung is an artist whose father owes Jungkook's company millions. Jungkook offers a deal: a year of sham marriage in exchange for debt forgiveness.

"No feelings, no touching without cameras, separate bedrooms," the contract reads. Taehyung signs it, hating Jungkook with all his heart.

Life in Jungkook's penthouse turns out to be a gilded cage. Jungkook is irritated by the smell of paint and Taehyung's habit of walking barefoot, while Taehyung is suffocated by the sterile silence. In public, they are the perfect couple: Jungkook holds him possessively by the waist, and Taehyung beams with a loving smile. But at home, sparks fly not from hatred, but from a strange tension.

The turning point comes when Taehyung falls ill. Instead of calling a doctor, Jungkook spends the entire night changing the compresses on his forehead himself, seeing the frail man as the company's "asset" for the first time.
